NEW JERSEY COMIC EXPO 2015 Walk Through Coverage!
This past weekend I had the chance to attend the inaugural New Jersey Comic Expo 2015 held at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, New Jersey. Fans of all ages attended the event which was organized by MAD Event Management, which has also been producing the Long Beach Comic Con in California for several years now.
Fans attending the convention had the chance to see celebrity guests, comic book creators, replica cars from hit movies and television shows, and attend seminars and panels. I had the chance to attend the Neca panel on Saturday evening. For those that aren’t aware Neca is based out of the Garden State itself.
There was over 150 vendors. You could find old and new collectible items, charity auctions, amazing artwork, and so much more!
I personally had the chance to meet Drea de Matteo, Amy Acker, Ashley Massaro, Tommy Walker, Peter Shinkoda, Chris Claremont, Jim Lee, Louise Simonson, Walter Simonson, John Cassaday, Eric Sellin, Scott Hanna, Mark Bagley, Randy Falk and the Neca Crew, New Jersey Ghosterbusters, Bun Leung, and numerous amazing cosplayers! I’m sure there’s a few people
I forgot to mention but it truly was an amazing time with so much talent.
If you had the chance to stop by the Neca booth you would have seen a few first at show items including: AvP Predators in package, Ultimate Sarah Connor with packaging, and Ultimate T-1000 to name a few. Neca also debuted at their booth and during the panel the introduction of their newest line, Cinemachines! Cinemachines is die-casts replicas of some of the most iconic vehicles from film and television. Each one will measure approximately 5 to 6 inches long. The first four debuted this weekend are from the Alien Universe and included :
– Fossilized Space Jockey
– Derelict Ship
– M577 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC)
– UD-4L Cheyenne Dropship w/ miniature Armored Personnel Carrier (APC)
